Hem. citrina Species. 38" M 5" Light lemon yellow spider with a wonderful fruity citrus fragrance. Vigorous, hardy and drought tolerant. Parent to many modern spider daylilies. Budcount up to 65. Nocturnal. Profoundly dormant - appears to die at the end of August. Flowers used in cooking.

Hem. dumortierii Species. 15" E 3" Deep rich yellow flowers with a slight fragrance. Buds are a reddish brown. Budcount of 4. Strongly dormant.

Hem. fulva Flore Pleno Species and botanical variety. 32" M 5" Hem. fulva flower that is a classic hose-in-hose double with a interesting butterscotch orange color. Rare and a strong dormant.

Hem. fulva Kwanso Variegata --- Triploid species. 36" M 4.5" Double form of the flower. Variegated foliage. Invasive like the common Hem. fulva Europa. Dormant

Hem. fulva rosea Species. and botanical variety. 36" M 5" Dirty rose pink with classic Hem. fulva shape. Budcount up to 20 like a typical Hem. fulva Europa.

Hem. fulva rosea Rosalind Species, botanical variety and named clone by Dr. Arlo Stout. 36" M 5" Dirty rose pink botanical variety that has the dark eyezone. This clone is slightly larger than the typical rosea botanical variety. It is the ancestor of our modern pink and red hybrids

Hem. fulva Sempervirens Species and botanical variety. Current taxonomists do not recognize this botanical variety as uniquely different from species

Hem. middendorfii Species. 36" EM 4" Pale orange self flowers that are barely fragrant, open in succession and do not drop well from the scape after the bloom is spent. Budcount of 10. Responsible for the budbuilding genes in our modern hybrids.

Hem. minor Species. 24" E - EM 3" Chrome yellow to lemon flowers that are nocturnal and trumpet shaped. The only species with a budcount of 5 with flowers that last 2 to 3 days instead of the single day of all other species. Nocturnal. Strongly dormant.

Hem. multiflora Species. 36" L - VL 3" Orange yellow flowers that are red-brown on the outside. Up to 100 flowers on a scape that is extravagantly branched. Does not open early in morning. Important ancestor to many miniature hybrids.

Hem. thunbergii Species. 45" L 3" Yellow funnel shaped flowers that are very sweetly fragrant. Flowers remain open a long time and are very fertile. Budcount of 15. Robust compact plant. Semi-evergreen.
